Now this is a fixed installation so it doesn’t rise up or down, and it’s also not electronic which is a small downside. This is ultimately quite a simple device: it doesn’t have a backrest, arm support or anything like that. Unlike some models which are based more around usage when not entering/exiting the vehicle (such as being able to rotate outwards facing and sit comfortably whilst watching outside), this is very much a work purpose model.
One useful aspect is that this is installable on both the driver’s or passenger seat, which does give it some degree of flexibility – but it is quite a basic model. It’s essentially just a rotatable padded metal plate, there’s really not much more to it than that.
As with most GuidoSimplex devices you can expect minimalistic installation intrusion, but this certainly isn’t portable like many of their other devices.
GuidoSimplex Transfer Seats…
If you want to find out more about a similar transfer seat by GuidoSimplex which is electronic then the SEG-02 is worth taking a look at.
You can find out more about the different GuidoSimplex transfer seats here, although their range is (at the moment) rather limited.
